FERIA
Today’s local liturgy record is ready for a saint biography or celebration note. Your administrator can enrich the entry from the liturgy control centre.
Why Catholics remember the saints
The saints are Christians whose lives offer examples of faith, hope, charity, courage and service. Remembering them points beyond the individual person to the grace of God at work in ordinary human lives.
Prayer and imitation
Catholic devotion asks the saints to pray with and for the faithful, while encouraging believers to imitate their fidelity to Christ in different times, places and vocations.
Liturgical celebrations
Many saints are remembered on particular days in the Church’s calendar. Their memorials, feasts and solemnities can shape the readings, prayers and liturgical colour used at Mass.
